Technical Parameters:
| Probe Diameter | 8.0 mm ± 0.1 mm |
| Probe Material | Stainless steel (for rigidity and corrosion resistance) |
| Handle Material | Nylon (for comfortable, non-slip grip during testing) |
| Test Angle Range | Between vertical and 45° relative to the upper side of the blending blade |
| Probe Length | Unlimited (to accommodate different kitchen machine sizes) |
| Core Function | Verifies that rotating blades cannot be touched by the rod’s end |
Standard and Application:
The probe is designed to verify compliance with IEC 60335-2-14 Clause 20.102, specifically targeting the safety requirements for hand-held blender blades. The test rod features a diameter of 8.0 mm ± 0.1 mm and unlimited length. During testing, the rod is applied from any position between the vertical direction and a 45° angle relative to the upper side of the blending blade. A passing result requires that the end of the test rod cannot touch the rotating blades—ensuring the blade’s protective screening meets safety standards and prevents user injury.
Applications:
• Safety testing of rotating blades in hand-held blenders (per IEC 60335-2-14 Clause 20.102).
• Quality control for immersion blenders to ensure blade protection.
• Safety verification of small kitchen mixers with exposed rotating components.
Test Procedures:
• Power on the kitchen machine (e.g., hand-held blender) and start the blade rotation.
• Hold the test rod by its nylon handle.
• Position the rod at any angle between vertical and 45° to the blade’s upper side.
• Move the rod toward the rotating blade, checking if its end touches the blade.
• Record whether the blade remains shielded (pass/fail).
